COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Mary Kay Thatcher, one of the nation's foremost authorities on agricultural policy and advocacy, has joined Stratovation Group's Board of Advisors. In her advisory role, Thatcher will provide strategic counsel through her unique public policy and grassroots advocacy lens.

She continues to lead her own independent, professional consultancy business, advising organizations and clients navigating the intersection of agricultural policy, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.

She most recently served as senior manager of federal government and industry relations at Syngenta. Prior to that, Thatcher worked for 31 years at the American Farm Bureau Federation. In previous roles, the Iowa State University graduate served as a legislative assistant for agriculture and trade to Sen. Roger Jepsen of Iowa. She also served in the George H.W. Bush administration as director of Congressional and Public Affairs for the Farm Credit Administration.

"Stratovation Group is making a splash across a wide section of the ag and food value chain," she said. "From row crops and specialty crops to animal agriculture and innovation, I've been impressed with what I have heard about them serving the needs of established companies and start-up innovators alike. The work they do specifically for farmer-cooperatives, member organizations and trade groups is fully aligned with my professional passion."

"We are grateful to formally collaborate with Mary Kay. She brings immense value and expertise across ag policy and corporate strategy that will greatly benefit our team as well as our expanding client base," said Cam Camfield, Founder and CEO of Stratovation Group. "From her time implementing farmer-driven policy at the American Farm Bureau Federation to her strategic roles at Syngenta and Farm Credit, she brings a powerful blend of political savvy, practical ag knowledge, and a passion for farm and ranch families."

A Growing Roster of Influential Advisors

Thatcher joins other agriculture-focused board of advisors members whose deep experience spans agriculture, agribusiness, talent strategy, sustainability, and organizational leadership, including:
