"We had 700 outstanding delegates from 40 U.S. states and eight countries, including a large delegation from Brazil and Canada. This has been three days packed with a very cool agenda." Delivering timely topic discussions and insights on policy shifts, trade flows, leadership development, consumer preferences, weather effects, investment trends and beyond, the summit is a gathering that benefits women in all sectors of agriculture. History of relationship-building "We started in 2012 with our first summit in New Orleans," says Michelle Pelletier Marshall, Women in Agribusiness senior public relations and media manager. "We had this concept from other events in ag, and we looked around and said, 'Where are all the women?' And we said we needed to do something about that." Keynote speakers delved deep into current critical ag topics, with Karen Braun of Zaner Ag Hedge and Emily French of Global Ag Protein discussing what exactly is in store for agriculture markets and financials in 2025 and beyond. Panel discussions were a favorite for attendees, with topics covering commodities outlooks, market outlooks and trade policy, weather effects, female producers, drivers in the animal ag markets, farmer barometers on inputs and profits, artificial intelligence and technology, and sustainable aviation fuels.
