BASF ANNOUNCES ITS PLAN TO SPIN OUT ITS AGRICULTURAL GROUP
by Joshua Kirby, Dow Jones

Dr. Livio Tedeschi
Ludwigshafen, Germany -- BASF said it plans to list its agricultural-solutions business in its home country, Germany, and named a management board for the new entity ahead of float planned for 2027.

The business will be listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange, the chemicals giant said Tuesday. A management board will meanwhile lead the agricultural-solutions division through its transition into an independent and publicly-listed company, beginning in May next year, BASF said.

That board will be led by long-serving executive Livio Tedeschi as president, as previously set out, BASF said. Sascha Bibert, currently finance chief at French steel-tube maker Vallourec, will be in charge of finance on the board, BASF said. Two other existing BASF executives will complete the board.
