| Kayla Bashore | KANSAS CITY, KS -- Agriculture Future of America (AFA) is celebrating 30 years of strengthening the agriculture talent pipeline with the launch of Celebrating 30 Voices, a campaign recognizing 30 AFA alumni who are dedicated to their careers, giving back to the industry and inspiring the next generation of agriculture professionals.
AFA is kicking off the campaign by featuring Kayla Bashore, whose career journey reflects the power of leadership development, meaningful connections and saying yes to opportunities. Now a sustainability analyst for CHS, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, Bashore credits AFA with helping her find her place in agriculture as a first-generation college student without a traditional agricultural background.
Through AFA programs, she built connections that led to internships with BASF, her current role at CHS and mentorships that continue to shape her career. Passionate about connecting business, sustainability and agriculture to support farmers and strengthen the food system, Bashore embodies the impact AFA alumni are making across the industry.
Through question-and-answer style blogs nd social media posts, the campaign will showcase the impact AFA made on their student experience, the lessons that continue to serve their career and the ways they lead the industry forward. Follow along on the AFA Blog and AFA social media accounts to meet all 30 leaders featured in the Celebrating 30 Voices campaign.
