U.S. TRACTOR SALES IN MAY DOWN 12% FOR THE YEAR, COMBINES DOWN 15% Jun. 15, 2026 Source: Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during May 2026 in the U.S. were down 22% from the same month last year. In May, a total of 16,815 tractors were sold which compares to 21,461 sold in 2025. For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 25% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 15%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 10%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 18%. Combine sales in May totaled 138 down 56% from last year. For the year, total tractor sales are down 12%. Smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 14%, 40 and under 100 HP are down 5% while 100+ HP are down 18%. Sales of 4-wheel drive tractors are down 24%.
