Source: Spray Drone Network news release CENTRALIA, MO -- The first episode of the new weekly streaming series "Spray Drone Network" launches on AcresTV Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, with the story of Kelli Kreider, the 5'2" former ag teacher who runs Spot-On Drone Services LLC in northeast Indiana. Kreider, who demonstrates the custom trailer and drone-launching platform her husband, Taylor, designed and built for her petite stature, epitomizes the spirit of the new channel, which goes behind the technology to meet the applicators and tell the stories of the people building a brand-new industry from the ground up, one field at a time. The "Spray Drone Network" channel will premiere a new episode on AcresTV each Thursday, taking viewers on-site to meet operators using spray drones across the country in diverse use situations. Episodes include people who use drones to apply crop protection and nutrients to crops from corn to blueberries to Christmas trees, as well as on a former PGA Tour golf course; seed cover crops; spray shade paint on greenhouses; treat invasive weeds to help reclaim land in abandoned coal mines in Appalachia, and much more. Spray drones - unmanned, aerial vehicles equipped with a liquid tank, precision pumps and specialized nozzles - are growing in agricultural use in particular due to many benefits, including precisely targeted and early application of crop protection, reducing crop damage and field compaction and better access to wet fields or rocky pastures where ground rigs may struggle. Connecting a new and growing industry "Spray Drone Network" is shot and produced by Mikaya and Tanner Spires, the founders of the new national directory and discovery platform of the same name, Spray Drone Network based in Centralia, Missouri. Spray Drone Network is an independent listing service and online hub connecting spray drone applicators, dealers and distributors with growers, ranchers, ag buyers and other customers across the United States. "SDN's mission also is to connect and equip spray drone applicators, dealers and industry leaders through shared knowledge, collaboration and access to trusted resources so we can build stronger businesses and a stronger industry together," says Mikaya. Through their own experience in the spray drone industry, the couple saw the need for a neutral, educational, one-stop resource and trusted community where customers and drone operators can find each other across the country. ""We require each applicator that is listed on our map to provide their Part 137 AAOC number for verification as SDN wants each operator to be completely legal with the FAA," Tanner says. Once applicators are vetted and join the network, they are listed on an interactive map on the site visible to any customer or site visitor. Since SDN's launch in January, applicator membership is at 218 and growing. The Spires hope their "Spray Drone Network" episodes will give viewers an inside look at a day in the life of the families and small businesses pioneering this new industry while showcasing the expertise and creativity they put into taking care of their customers' crops, land and enterprises. Viewers can watch "Spray Drone Network" episodes any time online or via the AcresTV app on mobile devices and smart TVs. Watch the trailer for the new "Spray Drone Network" series here.
