AG LEADER ANNOUNCES CAMERA SENSOR PARTNERSHIPS TO INTEGRATE WITH ITS RIGHTSPOT
Source: Ag Leader news release

AMES, Iowa - Ag Leader Technology has introduced a new application programming interface (API) that enables third-party camera sensor providers to integrate with RightSpot, Ag Leader's pulse width modulation (PWM) rate control system. The new API gives farmers and dealers greater flexibility in addressing challenging weed control issues by allowing them freedom to choose from a select group of camera sensors that will interface with Ag Leader's trusted application system.

"Farmers are looking for solutions that help maximize every spray pass while reducing input costs and improving herbicide effectiveness," said John Howard, Crop Care Product Manager at Ag Leader. "By opening the RightSpot platform to compatible camera sensor technologies, Ag Leader is making it easier for customers to adopt the technology that best fits their operation without sacrificing the precision, accuracy, and reliability of their application system."

RightSpot delivers consistent pressure and droplet size across varying speeds while maintaining precise rate control, all through a simple retrofit to the farmer's existing sprayer. When paired with compatible camera sensors through the new API, farmers can take advantage of selective spray applications designed to reduce input costs, improve efficiency, and make every acre more productive.

"Our new API allows us to work alongside leading camera sensor providers that are focused on making the best technology in that space," said Howard. "That means we can stay focused on delivering the best machine control and in-cab experience. The result is a flexible solution that gives farmers more choice in choosing the right camera sensor technology for their cropping needs while maintaining the consistency and user experience they know and expect from Ag Leader."

Ag Leader is currently working with two camera sensor companies, PerPlant and Agtecnic, that have implemented the selective spray API. These strategic collaborations reflect Ag Leader's commitment to working with partners that align with its approach to delivering practical, reliable technology solutions for farmers.

Ag Leader will have cameras on display with RightSpot at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, where attendees can learn more about Ag Leader's approach to selective spraying and future integration opportunities. The new API marks another step in Ag Leader's commitment to delivering practical innovations that give farmers more choice while maintaining the performance and reliability they expect.
