WHAT: Investment and Competitiveness: Aligning Capital with Agricultural Priorities, the first session of The Future of American Agriculture, a public leadership dialogue series from the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST).

WHO: Featuring Paola de Almeida, Natural Systems Capital, Inc. Hosted by Chris Boomsma, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, CAST.

WHERE: Online. Free and open to the public. Register at https://streamyard.com/watch/5FvhXVpgM7mD

WHY: Agriculture's future will depend not only on the availability of capital, but on how effectively investment supports the research, innovation, infrastructure, workforce, and institutional capabilities needed for long-term competitiveness. The session will address the guiding question: How can investment be better aligned with the capabilities agriculture will need for the future?

The series will bring together leaders from across agriculture to explore the opportunities, challenges and capabilities likely to shape the future of the agricultural enterprise. Future sessions take place Oct. 7, Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, with a concluding Strategic Advisory Council Roundtable in November.
