PROVENDRY BRINGS AI AND AUTOMATION TO INDEPENDENT FEEL MILLS
Source: Povendry news release

Carrollton, OH - Roxstar Labs, a software company based in Carrollton, Ohio, today officially launched Provendry, all-in-one software built for independent and family-run feed mills in the United States and Canada. Provendry runs the whole mill in one place, from ingredients and formulas to orders, feed tags, deliveries, invoices and payments, and uses AI and automation to take the busywork off a small team's plate. It is built to be easy: mills set it up and learn it themselves, with no consultants and no on-site training.

At most independent mills, a handful of people do everything. The same few hands take orders, cost formulas, print tags, schedule trucks, chase payments and key the month into the books, much of it on spreadsheets, calculators and paper. The work gets done, but it leaves little time to grow the business. The software built for large plants can cost $10,000 to $30,000 for the initial license alone, plus setup fees, monthly service fees and multi-year contracts, so most independent mills have done without.

"Provendry started around the table," said Shawn Pennington, founder of Roxstar Labs. "Someone close to me worked at a local mill, and formulation was their job. They were working out custom feeds with spreadsheets, a calculator, paper and pencil, figuring every ration from the commodities and their nutrients by hand. They asked if I could build a simple calculator for it. I did, and it grew from there, one real problem at a time. A small mill doesn't need another program to babysit. It needs a few more hands, and most can't hire them. Provendry should feel like the team got bigger, so people spend their time growing the business instead of chasing paperwork."

AI and logic, working together
Provendry pairs two things. AI reads and writes the paperwork: tickets, receipts, spec sheets and plain-English summaries. Proven logic does the math and follows the rules: costing, formulation, inventory and billing. Together they move work forward on their own, from the moment an ingredient arrives to the moment the invoice is paid, with a person at the mill overseeing each step.

• Ingredients in. Ingredients and commodities are what every formula is made from. Some come from suppliers, some the mill produces itself, and some are a farm's own grain held in its grain bank. When a supplier's load arrives, someone snaps a photo of the ticket or receipt. AI reads it and matches each line to the mill's own ingredients. Once a person checks it, one tap records the receipt, adds the stock to inventory and updates the ingredient's cost.

• Costs flow through. The new cost is averaged with what is already on hand, and every formula priced from it updates automatically. Nobody has to rework the price list by hand.

• Formulas. The formulation engine finds the least-cost mix that meets nutrient targets, or keeps a mill's own ratios and nudges them into spec, showing cost per ton and margin as the formula is built. For a new ingredient, a photo of the supplier's spec sheet fills in its nutrient analysis. Compare two versions of a formula and AI explains what changed and what it does to nutrients and cost.

• Orders out. An order becomes the mix sheet with scale weights, the feed tag, the delivery ticket and the invoice, then syncs to QuickBooks Online. Stock comes off as feed is made, with a warning before anything runs short. A farm's banked grain is drawn into its feed and credited on the invoice.

• The paperwork. State tonnage reports add themselves up from delivered loads, with a reminder before each is due. For Canadian mills, AI writes the French text on bilingual CFIA feed tags. A built-in assistant answers how-do-I questions in plain words, at any hour.

Every step keeps a human in the loop. The AI and the logic do the reading, typing and math; a person at the mill verifies the result before anything goes into the books. AI features only run once a mill agrees to them, and everything else works without them.

Everyone works from their own phone
Production floor workers and delivery drivers have their own view in the iPhone and Android apps, with everything they need to move an order forward on the device in their pocket. The floor sees the production board, mixer batches, work orders and feed tags. Drivers see their loads and the order behind each one, and the delivery screen keeps working with no signal. Each person sees only what their job needs: a driver sees no prices, formulas or billing. Printing work orders is optional.

Customers get their own portal too, in the apps or on a computer. Farms can place orders, see their feeds, track orders, view invoices and pay, which means fewer phone calls and less chasing.

Built with mills, not just for them
Today's launch makes official what a growing group of mills already know. Independent mills in the United States and Canada have been running their day on Provendry ahead of the announcement, and it has spread one mill at a time. Those mills helped shape it: many of its features started as one mill's request. Because Roxstar Labs builds Provendry itself, it can turn around the feature requests and tweaks a mill needs to fit its own workflow quickly, often the same day.

Know where the business stands
Provendry shows a mill its real numbers without waiting for month end: profit by formula and by customer, so owners can price with confidence and spot the loads that aren't paying. Invoices go out the same day with a Pay link, customers pay by card or bank transfer straight into the mill's own account, and the payment posts itself. Provendry takes no cut of any payment.

Built for the whole mill
Provendry also includes:

• Standing orders and contract pricing.
• AAFCO and CFIA feed tags.
• Medicated feed and VFD records.
• Lot tracing forward and back.
• Multi-stop delivery loads.
• Unlimited users.

It runs in a web browser and in native apps for iPhone, including Apple's new foldable iPhone Duo, iPad and Android.

Simple, honest pricing
Provendry's price is published on its website: $199 USD a month ($269 CAD) for the whole mill. There is no quote to request and no sales call needed to find out what it costs. Every feature and unlimited users are included, with no license fee, no per-seat charges and no contract.

Every add-on is optional, and priced up front too: moving a mill's data from another system ($499 one time), online payments setup ($49.99 one time in the US, free in Canada) and on-site training ($1,500 a day, plus $750 per travel day). On-site training is on the price list, but no mill has needed it yet, because Provendry is easy to use. Every mill on Provendry today got up and running with, at most, a few texts, phone calls and video calls. Some set it up entirely on their own, without a single call, sending in a support request here and there and getting a quick answer.

Mills can cancel any time and take their data with them. One click exports everything, including customers, formulas, orders, invoices and payments, as spreadsheet files.

"There's no bait and switch," Pennington said. "You know what you're getting and what it costs. If it's not for you, cancel and take your data with you."

Availability
Provendry is available now. Mills can try it free for 7 days on a fully loaded sample mill, with no card needed, at provendry.com.
