Source: Brownfield Ag News

Carol Witt Brownfield
Jefferson City, Mo - Brownfield Ag News is excited to welcome Carol Witt as its fall broadcast intern.

Throughout the semester, Witt will work alongside Brownfield's team of farm broadcasters, contributing to radio and multimedia content while gaining hands-on experience in agricultural journalism and broadcasting.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Brownfield Ag News and learn from Brownfield's team," said Witt. "I'm excited to grow through new experiences and share my passion for agriculture through broadcast news."

"Carol's enthusiasm for agriculture and commitment to agricultural communication make her a wonderful addition to the Brownfield team," said Meghan Grebner, Broadcast Supervisor for Brownfield Ag News. "Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in agricultural journalism and broadcasting, and we're excited to help Carol develop her skills while contributing to the important work we do serving farm audiences across the country."

Brownfield's internship program has helped launch the careers of numerous agricultural communicators, broadcasters and industry professionals, providing students with practical experience and opportunities to build lasting connections throughout agriculture.

A native of Fairbanks, Indiana, Witt grew up surrounded by agriculture, but her involvement in 4-H helped spark a deeper interest in the industry and its opportunities. She credits the National FFA Organization with encouraging her to step outside her comfort zone, explore new opportunities and gain firsthand experience across diverse sectors of agriculture. Through her involvement in both 4-H and FFA, Witt developed a strong appreciation for the industry and a desire to build a career helping tell agriculture's story.

Witt is a senior majoring in Agricultural Communication at Purdue University. On campus, she is actively involved in several organizations, including the Purdue Agricultural Council, Shoemaker Cooperative and Purdue Cooperative Council.
