Feb. 22, 2010 Source: Farm Journal Media news release Farm Journal Media announces the launch on AgWeb.com of the Virtual Wheat Tour, which will feature current wheat information and provide an online destination where wheat growers can interact. This new site will serve as the one-stop source for up-to-date wheat information and producer interaction. "We are happy to provide a much-needed Web site that focuses on wheat production," says Charlene Finck, Farm Journal senior vice president, Editorial & Content Development. "This site gives our audience the opportunity to interact and learn from fellow wheat growers. By building this specific community for growers, they will be 'seeing' what is happening in wheat fields from other parts of the country." The new site features multiple sources of wheat production and marketing information, making it a unique venue for those involved with any aspect of the wheat production chain. A highlight of the site is a group of wheat growers from across the country who will provide regular commentary on their wheat crop conditions, stages and marketing decisions. In addition, wheat news, videos, market information, related blogs and association news can be found on the site. "By being aware of conditions throughout wheat country, producers will know what to look for in their own fields and can be proactive with their wheat inputs and marketing," Finck explains.
