Apr. 30, 2010 Source: Farm Journal Media news release B2B industry e-Media thought leader Mitch Rouda joins Farm Journal Media on May 3, 2010, as president, e-Media. Rouda immediately assumes responsibility for all e-Media activity, including growth of the company's 20 current e-titles and all online development, merger and acquisition activity. "This creates a whole new ballgame in e-Media at Farm Journal," says Farm Journal Media CEO Andy Weber. "Mitch has been one of e-Media's most successful pioneers since the mid-1990s. I've observed his continued successes over that period of time and had the good fortune of experiencing his abilities firsthand during his extended consulting role for us as acting executive vice president of e-Media during the past nine months. "He has the rare ability to be on the leading edge and at the same time be practical in his use of the Internet to move markets. I look forward to his bringing that to the agricultural market via AgWeb and Farm Journal Media." Prior to joining Farm Journal Media, Rouda was president of his own consulting business, emedia consultingGroup, where over the past five years he developed online strategies for more than a dozen B2B media companies, including a number of sector leaders. Before starting his consulting business, Rouda served as president of Hanley Wood e-Media, where he presided over the growth of that division from nearly its inception to one of the largest e-Media businesses in B2B, including industry-dominant properties in databases (eBuild.com), e-commerce (ePlans.com), business information (BuilderOnline.com and others), recruiting (BuilderJobs.com and others) and lead generation (BuilderLeads.com and others). Rouda began his career as an editor for several B2B magazines and is a three-time winner of the Jesse H. Neal Award. In 2004, he was named BtoB Magazine's Top New Media Executive of the Year. Rouda served for two years as vice chair of American Business Media's Digital Media Council and is a frequent speaker at leading B2B industry events. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
