AGRIVISOR, DOANE, PRO FARMER TEAM UP TO PROVIDE MARKET ADVISORY SERVICE FOR FARMERS
Source: joint company news release sent via AgPR--the news distribution service for agriculture

AgriVisor, Doane Advisory Services, and Pro Farmer have partnered to offer the Crossover Insight program, enabling row crop producers to diversify the way they manage price risk at participating elevators.

"Producers have difficult decisions to make when marketing their grain with today's volatility," said Rob Huston, AgriVisor manager. "The Crossover Insight program allows producers to leverage the expertise of these three organizations to help market a portion of their crop production."

In the program, producers forward contract a certain number of bushels through any of the three participating analysts, who then use their individual strategies to determine when to sell the grain. Each time a sale is made, producers will receive a voice message explaining how much was sold and the reason why.

"It's an easy way for producers to diversify their marketing plan," said Cory Winstead, AgriVisor risk management specialist. "Once they make the decision to commit bushels to the program, they can rest easier, knowing those bushels will be marketed by a professional."

To educate producers on the new program, a series of meetings are planned for late November and early December. Representatives from AgriVisor, Doane, and Pro Farmer will present their opinions of today's markets and where they are heading in the future.

All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and pre-registration at www.graininsight.com or by calling 309/557-3147 is encouraged. They will be:

*Monday, November 29 -Keller Convention Center, 1202 N. Keller Drive, Effingham, Ill.

*Tuesday, November 30 - Northfield Suites, 3280 Northfield Drive, Springfield, Ill.

*Wednesday, December 1 - Hawthorn Suites, 101 Trade Center Drive, Champaign, Ill.

*Monday, December 6 - Starved Rock Lodge, Rt. 178 and 71, Utica, Ill.

*Tuesday, December 7 - Clock Tower Resort, 7801 E. State Street, Rockford, Ill.

*Wednesday, December 8 - Marriott Hotel, 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa

*Thursday, December 9 - Clarion Hotel, 2101 4th St SW, Mason City, Iowa

Each of the three participating organizations is dedicated to providing producers with marketing information, commentary, and advice, along with multiple products and services to assist producers in marketing their grain.

More than 25,000 producers subscribe to at least one of the three services.
