Source: Swanson Russell news release

Swanson Russell welcomes Katherine Brockman and Brenda Christensen to its account service department.

Brockman serves as an account manager, working out of the agency's Lincoln office with clients in the lawn and garden industry. She also assists with agricultural clients and new business initiatives.

Originally from Papillion, Neb., Brockman was previously a marketing specialist for Firespring, a Lincoln-based marketing services firm. She has also served as operations manager/editor for Women's Edition Magazine in Lincoln, and worked as a freelance writer.

Brockman graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also received a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation from the American Marketing Association (AMA). Brockman is immediate past president of the AMA's Lincoln chapter, which was named first runner-up for national chapter of the year under her leadership. Since 2007, she has served as the marketing chair for the Lincoln Arts Council's Art Festival management committee.

Christensen joins Swanson Russell's Omaha office team as an account supervisor. She works with various clients including Land O' Lakes/Purina and RFD-TV, and is involved with new business acquisition. Christensen also oversees departmental employees and manages account teams.

A native of Omaha, Christensen has more than 20 years of marketing experience, with an emphasis in agrimarketing. Prior to joining the agency, she was an independent marketing contractor. Christensen has also held marketing director and managerial positions with Lindsay Manufacturing Co., Golden Harvest Seeds and Experian. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Founded in 1962, Swanson Russell is Nebraska's largest marketing communications firm, with offices in Lincoln and Omaha. In addition to working with local and regional clients, the full-service agency is nationally recognized for expertise in agriculture, healthcare, outdoor recreation and the green industry.
