Jan. 24, 2011 Source: RFD-TV news release RFD-TV/RFD HD will dramatically expand its coverage of the grain and livestock markets with reports on both cash and futures prices featured daily in the network's regular program schedule. Leading the way will be the RFD-TV Market Minutes, which will air each half-hour throughout the broadcast day, with grains updated at 28 after the hour, and livestock the focus at 58 past. The reports will be produced "live" while the Chicago markets are open beginning at 10:30am (eastern), and then a series of Market Minutes organizing the day's commodity news will air after markets close and in prime time to keep viewers fully informed. Weekend Market Minutes will recap the week's action, while looking forward to the coming week's possible trade. Market Minutes will be produced in the Nashville studios of RFD-TV, and hosted by RFD-TV's veteran farm broadcaster and NAFB's recently elected National Vice President, Mark Oppold. Market Minutes will be sponsored, with :30 commercial spots available to advertisers to air at the beginning, and end, of each report. Full screen graphics with the sponsor's logo showcasing the high, low, last, and net change for each commodity on a variety of months will be featured, along with commodity news and interviews directly from the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange as conditions warrant. Cash prices from elevators and markets from around the country will also be showcased each day. The RFD-TV Market Minutes will begin airing on February 1. In addition, Commodity Wrap "LIVE", a new one-hour, interactive, prime-time program featuring commodity experts from a variety of sources will air on both Monday and Thursday evenings. Viewers will have the ability to ask questions "live" of the on-air guests, following the successful format of RFD-TV "LIVE".
