ADFARM HIRES PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Source: AdFarm news release

AdFarm has hired Sarah Gronberg Kolell, a seasoned public relations and strategic communications counselor, to direct public relations operations in the U.S. She comes to AdFarm from her previous role of publicity manager at Hallmark Cards. Kolell is based out of the Kansas City, Mo., office.

Roger Reierson, AdFarm managing partner, says her strong credentials in public relations, journalism, social media and agriculture will be great assets to the present and growing roster of AdFarm clients.

"We are pleased to have Sarah at the helm of our clients' public relations strategy and planning," notes Reierson. "She is an experienced public relations professional with a strong background in integrated consumer and agricultural marketing communications. She knows and loves the world of agriculture. Her return to AdFarm helps fortify our strong connection to agriculture and deepens our strategic PR capabilities."

While at Hallmark, Kolell managed product publicity, served as a national spokesperson and worked on corporate social media strategy. She was involved in hosting one of the nation's first blogger conferences, implementing a successful online editorial outreach program and securing coverage in numerous national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, FOX News, the "The Early Show" on CBS and Real Simple magazine.

Prior to joining Hallmark, Kolell was part of the AdFarm public relations team, working on award-winning programs for EMD CropBioScience and Bayer CropScience. She is a former journalist, working as a television anchor and reporter in the Grand Forks, N.D., Traverse City, Mich., and Topeka, Kan., markets.

Originally from the Red River Valley, Kolell grew up on a small grains, soybean and sugarbeet operation in Northwest Minnesota. She received an undergraduate degree in communications from Northwestern College and is pursuing her M.B.A. at the University of Kansas.

AdFarm, a full-service marketing communications agency, is committed to the advancement of agriculture. Its strong connections within the ag industry yield deeper insights, resulting in more focused and higher-impact solutions for its clients. With more than 100 employees, it has offices in Calgary, Alberta; Guelph, Ontario; Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo; Fargo, N.D.; and Sacramento, Cali.
