![]() Jul. 19, 2011 Source: Osborn & Barr news release Osborn & Barr (O&B) announces changes to its creative team's roster that include promotions of well-respected veterans, as well as the addition of new faces to the agency. These additions bring new creative leadership and a robust lineup of energetic and inventive talents to support the boost in creative-driven initiatives for the agency's clients. Michael Dillon and Michael "Smitty" Smith, will lead the agency's creative efforts, serving as executive creative directors. Adnan Sabic also joins the team with returning creative talents Zach Arnold and David Boesch. "Creative services is one of our fastest growing assets," says Michael Turley, CEO, O&B. "As new opportunities are afforded to us, it's necessary to position our team with the right mix of creativity, positive energy and business sensibility to generate successful results for our clients. I've never been more excited about the team we have in place, and I know our clients are going to quickly appreciate the new creative leadership, as well as the expanded talents these individuals bring to the table." Dillon and Smith are responsible for supervising and elevating the level of innovative and dynamic creative work for all O&B clients, including Asgrow, DEKALB, Monsanto Corporate, United Soybean Board, Michelin, Budweiser and many more. Dillon comes to O&B from CheckMark, Nestlé Purina's in-house agency, where he contributed to the strategic marketing and communications efforts for an array of national pet-care brands. Prior to his time at CheckMark, Dillon served as creative director at Rodgers Townsend, working on a variety of clients, including AT&T, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Monsanto, The Hartford, Anheuser-Busch, Energizer and Microsoft. Smith has been with O&B since February 2009. Prior to joining the agency, Smith brought to life a number of Super Bowl spots, including the world-traveled Budweiser "Frogs," who famously croaked "Bud," "Weis" and "Er." Michael also rebranded the M&M/Mars Skittles "Taste the rainbow" campaign. He was group creative director on Jack Daniels for six years along with other Brown and Forman brands, including Southern Comfort and Gentleman Jack whiskey. Smith has worked on other notable brands, such as Coca-Cola, Molson Canadian, Bass Pro Shops, Progressive Insurance and The Hartford insurance. Smith's portfolio represents about 200 pounds of local and national Addys and award-winning work recognized by Cannes Film Festival, D&AD New York, Print magazine, Creative Arts, CLO awards, London Film Festival and Canadian Film Festival. Boesch returns to O&B as group creative director. In this leadership role, Boesch closely manages all creative elements and execution of dynamic and on-target brand experiences for the agency's Monsanto Advance Performance Materials account, which includes the notable brands of Asgrow soybeans and DEKALB corn seeds. During Boesch's previous tenure with O&B, he produced award-winning work for Hayward and Cattlemen's Beef Board. Prior to rejoining the agency, Boesch served as associate creative director at Brighton,where he worked on brands such as Scottrade, Monsanto Deltapine cottonseeds and Monsanto Acceleron seed treatments. Zach Arnold also rejoins O&B as associate creative director. In this role, Arnold is responsible for managing day-to-day development and execution of projects and long-term creative strategies for a variety of the agency's St. Louis accounts. Arnold previously was with Waylon Advertising, where he supported consumer-focused campaigns for the St. Louis Cardinals and FTD. He also spent more than two years at O&B, serving as art director, where he was instrumental to the agency's Budweiser business and several seed brand and agricultural equipment accounts, including Monsanto and Michelin North America Agricultural Tires. Adding additional depth to the creative team is newcomer Adnan Sabic, who serves as art director. Sabic comes to O&B from Rodgers Townsend, where he worked on a variety of brands, including AT&T, Circus Flora, Ameren, The Hartford, Scottrade, PBS and the St. Louis Rams. Sabic is responsible for the development of creative concepts and execution of ideas for a variety of the agency's accounts. Tweet |
