![]() Sep. 22, 2011 Source: Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland news release Agricultural marketing communications leader Ted Priebe has joined Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland (FLM) as senior consultant and chairman of the agency's Board of Advisors. Priebe, who has served as president of two of the country's largest agricultural communications agencies, will provide a crucial link for FLM and its clients with a national board of advisors who comprise a brain trust of leadership and innovation across a broad spectrum of agriculture. Joining Priebe on the FLM Board of Advisors are: • Dr. Kirby Barrick, University of Florida professor and recent dean of that school's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences • Dr. William Boehm, retired senior officer of the Kroger Co. and former U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) economist and member of the President's Council of Economic Advisors • Charles Fischer, formerly president and CEO of Dow AgroSciences, Crop Life International, CropLife America and chair of the National FFA Sponsors Advisory Board • Al Johnson, currently the marketing director of AgriPulse Communications and former USDA deputy under secretary for Rural Development and former president of Farm Progress Companies "FLM is a fast-growing agency with an innovative approach for integrating all forms of media and communication to help its clients strengthen their marketplace relationships," said Priebe. Most recently Priebe led the strategic branding and communications practice at Adayana, Inc., a global human development consulting company. Prior to that, he served as president/CEO of Meyocks & Priebe Advertising, with offices in Des Moines, Iowa; Minneapolis, Minn.; Madison, Wis.; and Chicago, Ill. He was also president of Miller Meester Advertising in Minneapolis, where he helped grow the company into the nation's largest agricultural communications agency in the 1990s. Prior to Miller Meester, he was general manager of Century Communications in Chicago, which published Agri Marketing magazine. Priebe has been elected to several national agricultural leadership positions, including chairman of the Board of Directors of the Purdue University Alumni Association; national president of Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) Fraternity; the AGR Hall of Fame; and the National FFA Sponsors Advisory Board. He is also a recipient of the National Agri-Marketing Association Communicator of the Year Award.
