BRAZIL'S SOYBEAN CROP LESS THAN LAST YEAR'S Oct. 17, 2011
Source: The Brock Report
Brazil's Agriculture Ministry sees the country's soybean crop falling slightly to 72.2-73.3 MMT in 2011-2012 from last year's record level of 75.3 MMT despite 2% to 3.5% rise in plantings.
The first official 2011-2012 crop forecast from CONAB, the ministry's crop supply agency, assumes Brazil's average soybean yield will fall about 6% from last year's record high level under normal weather conditions.
