PAM SMITH JOINS DTN/THE PROGRESSIVE FARMER

Veteran ag communicator Pam Smith has joined DTN/The Progressive Farmer as Crops Technology Editor.
She had been been Seeds and Production Editor for Farm Journal Media (FJM) for the past ten years, where she also was the group's writing coach.
She was a freelancer for the FJM publications for many years before becoming a staff editor and worked for Prairie Farmer as a field editor from 1977 - 1983.
She has received a number of awards over her career, including two AAEA Writer of the Year Awards, four Oscars in Agriculture, and two Jesse H. Neal Awards from the American Business Media.
Smith has also co-authored several books including "You Know You're in Illinois When...", and "A Treasury of Farm Women's Humor."
She received a B.S. In Agriculture from the University of Illinois in 1977 and was a member of the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Program class of 2000.
