"Having witnessed firsthand the effectiveness of the FLM team in strategically positioning other organizations, I am pleased we could join forces with them in this important communications initiative for the NCFC," says Chuck Conner, NCFC President and CEO. "FLM understands farmer-directed organizations and comprehends the tremendous value of cooperatives. We look forward to working side by side with FLM and utilizing their strategic and creative strengths to launch effective and on-target communications for the Council and our member organizations." NCFC's mission is to advance the business and policy interests of America's cooperatives and other farmer-owned enterprises. The Year of the Farmer Co-op will showcase how America's farmer-owned businesses enable their producer-members to thrive in a global marketplace, how they create jobs and economic growth across rural America, and how they provide consumers with a safe, abundant and affordable supply of food and fiber. "FLM is honored to have this opportunity to put our experience and passion for American farmer cooperatives to work with NCFC and its membership," said Rob McClelland, agency president. "Spreading the word about how cooperatives provide for America and how they help drive our economy is not only a worthwhile, but also a most timely message." FLM is a strategic marketing and communications company serving clients who specialize in the business of agriculture and the life of rural communities. FLM's more than 35 team members are focused on Wide Open Thinking™ (www.wideopenthinking.com) and are located in Minneapolis, MN, Columbus, OH, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, IN, Bloomington, IL and St. Louis, MO.
