Jun. 8, 2012 Source: Farm Progress Co. news release The 2012 Farm Progress Show will present the latest agricultural technology across even more show exhibit area with the latest expansion at its Boone, Iowa, show site. One additional street will be filled with exhibitors and ready for show visitors to review at the show set for Aug. 28, 29 and 30. Growing with demand "When the Farm Progress Show site was built in Boone, it was designed to accommodate the largest show exhibit area that had been used at recent shows" says Matt Jungmann, Farm Progress national events manager. "As assignments for space were completed this spring, it became clear that extra space was needed to accommodate all the requests by exhibitors and the investment would need to be made to accommodate those requests." The Farm Progress Show exhibit area has grown from the 12 streets available at the last show held on the Boone site in 2010 to 13 for the upcoming August event. This increase brings this permanent show site to 3.68 million square feet of exhibit area, or nearly 85 acres. Additionally, the show occupies 300 acres for field demonstrations and test drive areas, plus an additional 180 acres for visitor parking. Additional show growth Another event in the Farm Progress stable has also been recently expanded due to exhibit space demand: Husker Harvest Days. The site for the world's largest irrigated working farm show, Husker Harvest Days, located near Grand Island, Neb., was expanded for each of its past two shows. The trend continues and this year's show once again sold out of outdoor exhibit space and has a waiting list for additional companies that want to display at the event. These Husker Harvest Days site expansions have increased its exhibit grounds by 6.5 acres; its total exhibit space is now 3.44 million square feet, or close to 80 acres. Learning events for producers Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days are known as the nation's leading events for ag product introductions and new campaign launches. Year after year, these world-class events attract producers from across the United States and around the world. For ag producers, these venues are the pinnacle for seeing and learning about the latest equipment, products and technology in the agriculture world.
