SMITHBUCKLIN TO MANAGE U.S. APPLE EXPORT COUNCIL

The U.S. Apple Export Council (USAEC) announced it selected SmithBucklin, the association management and services company more organizations turn to than any other, to provide full-service association management. USAEC relocated its headquarters from Alexandria, Va., to Washington, D.C.
"Partnering with SmithBucklin allows us to have more scalable operations, offer better service to our members, more effectively promote apple exports in foreign markets and continue to grow the overseas presence of our products in the years ahead," said Mark Girardin, USAEC chair.
USAEC is a trade association representing 11 apple-producing states in the United States, including California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia. USAEC members account for nearly 40 percent of total U.S. apple production and collaborate to promote their apples in foreign markets.
