Jun. 20, 2013 Source: FLM+ news release After an extensive review process, the Minnesota Beef Council and Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association select FLM+, a strategic marketing and communications company, to assist in communicating the value of the beef checkoff to Minnesota beef and dairy producers. The Minnesota Beef Council was organized under state statute in 1969 with the Minnesota Beef Research and Promotion Order and further in 1985 with the Federal Beef Promotion and Research Act as an organization whose primary purposes are to plan, implement and conduct programs of promotion, research, consumer information and industry information designed to strengthen the beef industry's market position in Minnesota and nationally, and to maintain and expand domestic and foreign markets and uses for beef and beef products. The Minnesota State Cattlemen's Association (MSCA) is a membership-based organization that represents cattle farmers and individuals who are part of the cattle community in Minnesota. The organization currently represents over 1,000 members from all segments of the beef community. "We are looking forward to working with the checkoff-experienced team at FLM+ to further demonstrate the incredible value of the beef checkoff to our state's producers and vested constituencies," says Minnesota Beef Council Executive Director, Karin Schaefer.
