Sep. 12, 2013 Source: World Congress on Conservation Agriculture news release With the North American debut of the 6th World Congress on Conservation Agriculture (WCCA) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the sponsoring organizations announce the selection of Farm Journal Media as the exclusive media outlet in the U.S. for this international event. Farm Journal Media is working with the Conservation Agriculture Systems Alliance, the Soil Conservation Council of Canada and the Conservation Technology Information Center in media efforts surrounding WCCA. The company's media platforms include television, print, radio, websites, mobile, newsletters and events. As the exclusive media sponsor, Farm Journal Media will promote the themes of the conference in advance of the event. They also will assist in recruiting speakers and suggesting topics for the event. After the Congress, Farm Journal Media coverage will offer unique perspectives to build on the WCCA effort to help farmers learn more about how conservation and sustainable practices can benefit their operations. The dialogue on conservation agriculture generated in Winnipeg will continue through websites, YouTube channels and other appropriate media. Charlene Finck, Senior Vice President of Farm Journal Media, sees the WCCA as extension of their efforts to help producers in practical ways. "Just as we started Corn College to bring field based research to farmers, the World Congress will help our audience learn innovative and more efficient ways to manage their production practices," she said. "With AgDay TV, AgriTalk radio, AgWeb and our full-circle media outlets producers will be able to learn more about the new techniques showcased at the conference." WCCA, which takes place June 22-26, 2014, will increase awareness, create excitement and educate farmers in innovative conservation and sustainability efforts.
