Source: Charleston|Orwig news release

Charleston|Orwig (C|O) announces the addition of two marketing communications professionals to its expanding team. Monica MacKay and Christy Bowden are joining the C|O client services team with responsibility for leading accounts in the agency's Reputation Management and Integrated Marketing practice groups.

"Monica and Christy bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Charleston|Orwig team," said Marcy Tessmann, president. "Both come from diverse and extensive communications backgrounds and will provide valuable insight and support to our clients across the food system."

Monica MacKay

MacKay brings in-depth experience with corporate issues management to the agency. She comes to C|O from Edelman, where she managed corporate affairs efforts, including reputation management and sustainability, for clients in the energy and food manufacturing industries. In her new role, MacKay will continue providing counsel to clients in areas such as environmental issues and corporate stewardship.

Christy Bowden

With more than 10 years of marketing experience, Bowden joins C|O from Red Brown Kle' Marketing, where she served as an account supervisor managing the Baxter Healthcare team. Bowden's work focused largely on retaining established accounts while initiating organic growth and new business opportunities. She will bring these strengths to Charleston|Orwig as she works to meet clients' strategic, creative and integrated marketing needs.

Bowden earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. MacKay graduated from Marquette University with a dual degree in political science and English literature.
