Jul. 9, 2015 by Patrick Goetsch, Founder & President, Rural Media Group RFD-TV News is proud to announce a new series, RURAL TOWN HALL, which will invite each and every presidential candidate to ONLY address rural and agricultural issues for one hour in prime time. A national network has never produced such a program before. All of us involved in agriculture and rural America agree on one thing - that we must do a better job communicating rural issues with our urban neighbors, while educating our elected officials, in order to garner more support for needed legislation going forward. I firmly believe that we will make great strides for our common goal with RURAL TOWN HALL. It is our strong desire to have all commodity organizations, rural associations, and companies whose roots are firmly planted in rural America, join in this effort by submitting questions for the candidates that can then be asked in the upcoming RURAL TOWN HALL programs. I invite you to assemble a minimum of five (5) questions that represent the most critical issues or concerns being faced from your viewpoint, and submit those questions to us as soon as you can and e-mail them to: TownHall@rfdtv.com. Please include your organization's name and a representative's name, at your discretion. We will notify you in advance if any of your questions are selected. We encourage you to attend the event to represent your organization and ask the question in person. Otherwise RFD-TV's host will ask your question, during the broadcast. It is anticipated that all programs will originate in Iowa during the months of July and August. RFD-TV has received a tremendous show of support from both the Democrats and Republicans, who appear eager to participate in this new and constructive format. Should you have any questions, please contact Patty O'Bryan in our Omaha office (402) 289-2085 or e-mail Patty@rfdtv.com. I hope we can have your full support on this matter, as I believe that a united rural America will result in raising the bar for the benefit of all our interests. Tweet |
