Lessiter Publications Inc., Brookfield, Wis., has acquired the assets of Implement & Tractor from Philadelphia-based Farm Journal Media, effective July 16.
As part of Lessiter's acquisition of the assets of Implement & Tractor, longstanding columnist Greg Petersen of Machinery Pete will contribute content and analysis for Lessiter Publications' dealer properties on used equipment data and trends. Lessiter Publications' equipment dealer properties include Farm Equipment, Ag Equipment Intelligence, Rural Lifestyle Dealer, Dealership Minds Summit and Precision Farming Dealer.
"We are excited to bring the storied Implement & Tractor magazine, its circulation and historic content dating back to 1885 to our group of dealer properties," says Mike Lessiter, president, Lessiter Publications. "Our editorial team also welcomes longtime Implement & Tractor columnist Greg Petersen as a regular content contributor to address subscribers' ongoing needs for accurate, real-time information for used equipment values."
Steve Custer, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at Farm Journal Media added: "We couldn't think of a better home for Implement & Tractor than with Lessiter." Farm Journal Media bought a majority interest in Machinery Pete in 2014 and recently launched a new MachineryPete.com that provides listings and a new multi-media marketing package for equipment dealers.
