TWO DAKOTA CO-OPS TO MERGE

Red River Farm Network reports:
The producer boards of Dakota Plains Cooperative, based at Valley City, and Dakota Ag Cooperative, based at Kindred, have voted to combine operations and establish one new business.
The two groups are expected to begin operations under the name CHS Dakota Plains Ag in early October. Dennis Novacek, who now manages Dakota Ag Cooperative, will serve as the general manager.
The new company will serve farmers across 13 counties in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.
